Sizing Guide - Jig Shoe

Please note this guidance information and chart are a good way of assessing the correct size this is not a guarantee. There are other factors to take into account, such as the foot shape, height / depth of the dancers arch which can affect the sizing.

In consideration of this the customer will be responsible for the postage cost of exchanges or returns, unless the item was sent in error.

On a general note, jig shoes should not be purchased too large. A little toe wiggle room is fine but the distance from the tip of the longest toe to the top of the shoe should be no more than 5-10mm (depending on the level of the dancer). The the ball of the foot needs to sit correctly in the shoe to be able to generate the required sound with the tips. Jig shoes which are too large also make toe walking and more advanced techniques very difficult.

Antonio Pacelli Jig Shoe

It is recommended to order your dress shoe size or normal UK school shoe (Please see below the Jig Shoe Size Conversion Chart). If you have a wide foot then it is suggested you go up half a size and order the wider fitting jig shoe. The wider fitting jig shoe has a rounded toe which gives more room for the toes.

Fays Jig Shoes

Fays shoes are more a narrower fit and are not recommend for dancers with a wider foot.

It is suggested that you order half a size larger than your dress shoe size or normal UK school shoe (Please see below the Jig Shoe Size Conversion Chart).

Rutherford Jig Shoes

Rutherford's jig shoes are very similar in size to the wide fit Antonio Pacelli jig shoe. It is recommended that you order your dress shoe size or normal UK school shoe (Please see below the Jig Shoe Size Conversion Chart). If you have a wide foot then we would suggest you go up half a size.

Hullachan Jig Shoe

The Hullachan jig shoe is true to size. It is suggested that you order your normal shoe size or a half a size smaller if you like a tight fit.
